Stop automatically installing the new Outlook

The change to outlook shows up in Mail but if you click on it nothing happens. (Thank the Lord). Outlook's font is too small and you're looking at all the accounts. I have 4 hotmail accounts and Mail is so much better for my eyes to work and see one account at a time.

It was PITA, but I came to terms with this transition, even though I have 22 mailboxes that I have to manually transition and some of them don't even work any more. BUT after "Outlook (new)" asked me where I want to display my ads I F****** LOST IT. What the actual F*** do they think they are doing? The licence to the Pro version of Windows costs almost $200 and they have the audacity to ask where I want to display ads? The Windows Mail app used to come with the system and they are now replacing it with a malware version of Outlook. What a joke.

this is still the best solution and proof that it works is you can literally click the slider in the top right corner of the mail app to "try new outlook" and laugh as it fails to install it.

Do note that windows updates seem to manage to undo this as I had one recently undo it after weeks of it being gone, but it's a simple short process to redo this, this time i did the additional steps that the OP pointed out about changing allow to deny, and hopefully that prevents future window update undoings, but even if not, it's a quick process to simply redo these steps and restore mail.

Well, this worked for just over a week, but Microsoft figured a way around it and now Outlook is back to automatically reinstalling itself. Now you can only do these instructions each time you want to try Windows Mail, and redo do them every time after.
