I'm not using "the new Outlook", I'm staying with the "classic Outlook". Since I don't use it, I have to delete the app. To my surprise, it re-installs itself after a period of time. It's super annoying since I have to keep deleting it How do I stop this from happening?

Outlook | Windows | Classic Outlook for Windows | For business

Now the issue is that windows 10 comes with Windows Mail app, Windows Calendar, Microsoft People and Microsoft To-Do all preinstalled and fully integrated, and Microsoft on top of that, encourages users to use these apps.

I believe that any newbies are excused for thinking these app being part of the OS, not knowing how to use others, AND let's not forget, Microsoft recommends Microsoft accounts with Microsoft e-mailadresses, so by now intermediate users are also excused.

If you start using the Windows Calendar and Microsoft To-do, you are in serious trouble, as these apps cannot export Events, Tasks and so on, and when you finally find out how to get your data out, you end up with a .PST-file, which most other calendars cannot import, and you need to convert to another format, now even experienced users are excused.

So, I can recommend thinking beyond your own crooked nose, before you start typing.

And that, I assure you, just like many others I will. Idiot move by MS to destroy a good product and replace by something as bad as this.

Microsoft has been overrun by communist **** Indians who think they know what's best for us regarding the computers WE own.

STOP FORCING **** THAT WE DID NOT ASK FOR UPON US, GODDAMMIT!!!!!

It's a free product, you don't have to use Outlook for windows. If you don't want to use it, there are plenty of free alternatives available.

Your Windows Mail app will stop receiving and sending email after December 31, 2024.

I could not agree with you more. Very very stupid move by Microsoft. I tried Outlook a few times and ran into all sorts of oddities that hindered my workflow. Nah, go for Thunderbird. It's updated regularly and even works on legacy hardware. It's been around for a long time so bugs are probably worked out by now, as it hasn't changed that much. AND it has a built in calendar. I've grown quite used to it, I hope you will too.
