Legitimate emails going to junk

I do not have the outlook app on my phone, so that shouldn't be the issue. I'm hoping it's just server issue, but it's now sending most emails to the junk folder, with one in a blue moon making it into the inbox folder. I have checked my junk folder settings, as well as made sure that there were no rules that would be causing this issue. if there is anything that can be done, I would really appreciate it, as I'm nearly at my wit's end, thank you

I am in the same position. They came back and emailed me saying to mark the emails as not junk but I have been doing this for over 6 months, they are claiming the junk filter will learn that these type of emails are legit when marked as not junk but it does not work. I don't yet know what can be done but I would advise you to contact them by live chat and send them EML samples and TXT files with the email sources and request escalation to Tier 3 for a fix. If it fails the first time, due to their lack of experience, try again. This is what I am trying to do now. I have another case open and waiting to hear back from them and told them the advised solution is unacceptable as it does not work.

Sadly, it is stressful trying to talk to them via live chat, sometimes an agent is helpful and other times the agent is not.

This may have gotten lost with so many posts so I'm repeating it on a new post.

My junk filter started working again and there was 1 activity that happened the day before it was fixed.

I ran and downloaded the rules file from Outlook.com. I didn't find anything in the files (long boring XML code), but my problem went away a day later.

I have no idea if running the diagnostics that creates the report fixed it.

After 3 months of 100% of my inbox going to junk, it's hard to call it a coincidence.

Run report: Settings (gear icon) > Mail > Rules > Scroll down to the very bottom after the last rule on the right pane and there's a text link to run a report. (image below)

I had a problem where my rules stopped working and I reported it to them by sending them the diagnostic files, and they fixed my Rules but then I notice all my emails start landing in the junk folder…

Wondering if they fixed one issue and created another…

We discovered that Optimum for some reason has a system in which emails are marked either a or b. Geek squad figured it out. For some reason Optimum had designated all emails B, which is junk mail. We changed it to a and voila! it is now working perfectly. Thank you Geek Squad! (Yonkers, N Y)
