I am suddenly receiving spam calendar invitations/appointments in Outlook (Microsoft 365 Family).  Disappointing that Microsoft has not addressed this.  My McAfee virus scan is also giving me the "No Viruses" when I scan.

There will be an email somewhere in your scam folder, the text shown as the ‘event’ on your calendar will be the same text shown in the email ‘header’ you can also find the email address they have come from on the event it’s self on your calendar and block this email. Hope this helps

This doesn't help. Sometimes a new associate wants to set up a meeting for an interview or to touch base. I should be able to mark it as junk from my email inbox without anyone with my email address flooding my calendar with reminders to buy their scam Netflix renewal or whatever. These emails are going into my junk email, but they still wind up on my calendar.

No. I never got an email, they just popped up in my calendar with no way to block the sender.

This exact thing is happening to me. There isn't an email invitation and I don't get asked if I would like to add it to my calendar. The event invitation just shows up on my calendar and it's usually for a week straight. I have to search my junk for the email. So why am I getting an invitation on my calendar from something that is ALREADY marked as junk?? And the ONLY way to get rid of it is opening the invitation and declining. I blocked the emails first and the events stayed, The weirdest part is that they're not showing up on my calendar when I open my outlook calendar on my computer. They are only appearing on my phone calendar.

Been having this issue in February 2024. This thread is from September 2023. Seriously? Microsoft doesn't seem to have the littlest interest in resolving this issue. Ridiculous!
