Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
This worked for me. But this is definitely a miss step from MS

My subfolders in the new outlook seem to be sorted by date of change/creation. How can I sort them in alphabetical order?

One of the dumbest things I have seen M$ do, and thats a big call.
very big call - but agree!
This does not work in the new outlook - there is no option for sorting the folder order when one right clicks a parent folder. Frustrating!
Hi, I found a random work around ( that works sometimes) If you take the folder that you want to move, and then put it in a sub folder (doesn't matter which one). Then the folder you just moved into a subfolder take it and move to inbox. Then it should be alphabetical. You may have to try a couple of times to make it work. Not the best way, but it worked for me a couple of times.
This is not coming up in the drop-down list of options when I right-click on the parent folder in New Outlook. I also can't drag the folder to a new location in the list like I could in the previous version of Outlook.
