Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments

These are my settings in mail.google.com that I think are relevant:
Accounts and Import:
Grant access to your account:
Mark as read
x Mark conversation as read when opened by others
Leave conversation unread when opened by others
Sender information
x Show this address and the person who sent it ("sent by …")
Show this address only (******@gmail.com)
Forwarding and POP/IMAP
POP download:
- Status: POP is disabled
IMAP access:
Status: IMAP is enabled
When I mark a message in IMAP as deleted:
Auto-Expunge on - Immediately update the server. (default)
x Auto-Expunge off - Wait for the client to update the server.
When a message is marked as deleted and expunged from the last visible IMAP folder:
x Archive the message (default)
Move the message to the Trash
Immediately delete the message forever
Folder size limits
x Do not limit the number of messages in an IMAP folder (default)
Limit IMAP folders to contain no more than this many messages 1,000
Add-ons:
There are no add-ons installed.
In Outlook for windows I have these settings (among others):
Mail > Message Handling
Mark read: Mark displayed items as read when the selection changes
In the unread filter: Always keep items unread unless I explicitly mark them as read
