I do not get any verification codes sent to my email

My outlook email does not get any verification codes, I did all the basic things like checking my spam checking my blocked users and everything, nothing works. I recently got a pc and want to link my video game accounts from console to pc for example my Activison account, but when it tells me to verify my email by typing the code that was sent to my email I do not get any. I tested if it was with all emails by sending myself an email with a different email and I got it, it seems to not work when I need a verification code becuase I have tried with my epic account and my activision account and neither work. Please this is a serious issue, what if it was not video games, what if it was something more important like a bank account, I need this fixed as soon as possible please and thankyou.

I'm not sure if anyone else already mentioned this but it's the only thing it worked for me. This requires you can still login through other methods on the microsoft website, since in my case, i didn't get a verification code when it was "sent" through windows/xbox app/microsoft store.

  1. Go to your Microsoft Account on the browser
  2. Go to Security -> Manage logins

3- Add a new login method or verification

4- Select "Use an application". This are authentication apps, probably the safest option to have on your account.

After step 4 just follow the instructions it gives you, and next time you try to login, it will ask for the code in the authentication app instead. It will recommend using the Microsft Auth app, but you could use any other if you know about it.

Remember that if you do this, and want to change your phone later, you'll need to probably migrate the app to the new device, just investigate what you need to do after.

I cannot get the email with the code. I've had an Office 365 subscription for, gotta be 6 years now, and have NEVER run into this problem. Ever. I'm about to dump Office forever. This is insane, for how much they charge. I hate this subscription model bs.

And when you go to the Help > ?Help section in Outlook and type "Contact Support", it returns with nothing! It doesn't exist anymore, apparently. The hell is going on!?

What came back after typing in contact support is "Sign in to see support options for your account. "Sign In" button.

However, that's what I can't access. What am I supposed to do? There is no phone support and I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. This was not helpful at all. My issue is not resolved.

I do not get any verification codes sent to my wife’s email either.

I just purchased a new Windows 11 computer and I installed Microsoft Office Home and Business 2024.   My wife and I have each have a Microsoft Account and we have used Outlook for email for years.

I added my Outlook email account into Outlook Classic (in Office 2024) with no problems.

I tried adding my wife’s Outlook email account into Outlook Classic and I needed to receive a verification code that was never sent to my wife’s Outlook email.

I tried all of the suggested ways to fix this issue on my end of the process.  I suggest the email with the code is NOT being sent, and that’s why it’s never being received.  I never was offered any other way to complete this verification.  The email never arrived on the online version of Outlook either.

My wife’s Microsoft account has 3 methods of access and/or verification; a password, my email address, and a cell phone for text messages.

The solution I used.  I deleted the email address from the access and/or verification methods.  (NOTE you need at least one way to still access the account, I had two remaining methods.)

The first time I tried to add my wife’s Outlook email account into Outlook Classic (after there was no email for verification) I got a request for the account password.  And the account was added into Outlook Classic.

After the account was successfully added, then I added my email back to my wife’s Microsoft account for access and/or verification.

Similar to my situation, did all the suggested solutions, no dice....I even sent an email from another account to my wife's account and that DID go through, so I believe MS is not sending the code which is why we are not getting it.

My fix was do add another email (her Gmail account), make it Primary, delete the old email (Outlook) and add her account to the PC again, with the Gmail account as her primary (which is just what we will stick with now), it didn't even request a code, just her Gmail password and we were in and done.

Two days of screwing with this, which is probably less than others, but your post helped me out!
