I do not get any verification codes sent to my email

My outlook email does not get any verification codes, I did all the basic things like checking my spam checking my blocked users and everything, nothing works. I recently got a pc and want to link my video game accounts from console to pc for example my Activison account, but when it tells me to verify my email by typing the code that was sent to my email I do not get any. I tested if it was with all emails by sending myself an email with a different email and I got it, it seems to not work when I need a verification code becuase I have tried with my epic account and my activision account and neither work. Please this is a serious issue, what if it was not video games, what if it was something more important like a bank account, I need this fixed as soon as possible please and thankyou.

I'm not sure if anyone else already mentioned this but it's the only thing it worked for me. This requires you can still login through other methods on the microsoft website, since in my case, i didn't get a verification code when it was "sent" through windows/xbox app/microsoft store.

  1. Go to your Microsoft Account on the browser
  2. Go to Security -> Manage logins

3- Add a new login method or verification

4- Select "Use an application". This are authentication apps, probably the safest option to have on your account.

After step 4 just follow the instructions it gives you, and next time you try to login, it will ask for the code in the authentication app instead. It will recommend using the Microsft Auth app, but you could use any other if you know about it.

Remember that if you do this, and want to change your phone later, you'll need to probably migrate the app to the new device, just investigate what you need to do after.

I've had the same ongoing issue for years with outlook/hotmail. Simply do not get verification codes from some domains, regardless of whether they are on the safe senders list. There is no 'still need help' or chat options under the help option.

Yet again I will need to use a different email in order to use a specific service.

It's worse as it doesn't even go to junk. Just gets filtered out completely. Unless you add the site to your safe sites list which you can't do from the mobile app. And then you don't necessarily know what site the security code is coming from. So frustrating.

Why do I need to whitelist site that has been working for years? Why would they end up in the junkmail folder?

Outlook, Netflix, GOG, Amazon. After several attempts and days I managed to log in to my outlook on a new device, but no security code was ever sent from the other 3 and I'm locked out completly from both GOG and Amazon.

Funny enough when I sent a mail to GOG, there was an email sent back from their support. Nothing works related to security codes!!!
