I do not get any verification codes sent to my email

My outlook email does not get any verification codes, I did all the basic things like checking my spam checking my blocked users and everything, nothing works. I recently got a pc and want to link my video game accounts from console to pc for example my Activison account, but when it tells me to verify my email by typing the code that was sent to my email I do not get any. I tested if it was with all emails by sending myself an email with a different email and I got it, it seems to not work when I need a verification code becuase I have tried with my epic account and my activision account and neither work. Please this is a serious issue, what if it was not video games, what if it was something more important like a bank account, I need this fixed as soon as possible please and thankyou.

I'm not sure if anyone else already mentioned this but it's the only thing it worked for me. This requires you can still login through other methods on the microsoft website, since in my case, i didn't get a verification code when it was "sent" through windows/xbox app/microsoft store.

  1. Go to your Microsoft Account on the browser
  2. Go to Security -> Manage logins

3- Add a new login method or verification

4- Select "Use an application". This are authentication apps, probably the safest option to have on your account.

After step 4 just follow the instructions it gives you, and next time you try to login, it will ask for the code in the authentication app instead. It will recommend using the Microsft Auth app, but you could use any other if you know about it.

Remember that if you do this, and want to change your phone later, you'll need to probably migrate the app to the new device, just investigate what you need to do after.

    Email settings is ok, I checked it thoroughly, nothing is blocked or is in junk section. I don't think my outlook mail, where the code should come, will block the code sent from Microsoft itself. It's a disaster here ... I started using Vivaldi for browsing for now. Microsoft network and services are worst. I have decided not to use Microsoft apps as there are plethora of options available. Thanks for your help and advices anyway ...

    I cannot login into gmail.com so I don't have it?

    Hi,

    you didn't say if you checked your mail settings. Outlook will have a list within settings of blocked e-mail domains. Make sure none of the blocked domains contain the wording - Microsoft, micro soft, MS etc, remove / delete them. This is what was causing the code sent by MS to me.

    If you have done this and are sure outlook is not blocking Microsoft's code e-mail, then you will need to speak to MS.
