How do I migrate my calendar events to the new Outlook from Windows 10 calendar?

I ended up have to print out my calendar and manually putting in dates.

I tried to migrate to the new outlook from Outlook 2016 but the new outlook is so lame compared to the ease and utility of the old program that I immediately gave up on it. I will have to use Outlook 2016 without email and without synchronizing but it is a price I'm willing to pay.

Once again, Microsoft is making our lives miserable. New Outlook only imports .ics files. Old Outlook only exports .csv or .pst files. Anyway, an import will not import recurring appointments! WHAT IS THE INCENTIVE TO MOVE TO NEW OUTLOOK???

I really appreciate all the time you've spent trying to help me, but none of this is working. It all relates to the email account, which is already perfectly transferred - and does nothing for the calendar. I have followed your instructions to the letter where possible. I'm beginning to feel desperate.

I would happily migrate to the new Outlook, as the Windows Mail app is very unsatisfactory, but I can't lose all the calendar data. That covers everything I've done for the last four years and everything I need to do in the next four months. Is it really possible that in Windows Mail Microsoft created a calender that is unexportable?

My only option for now is to stick with Window Mail, but there will apparently be a forcible transfer to Outlook this year. Does that mean that in the coming months at some point I will suddenly lose all of my calendar data anyway and there is nothing I can do about it?

I understand that you want to migrate your calendar events from Windows 10 Calendar to the new Outlook for Windows. There is no direct way to do that. You have to export your calendar from Windows 10 Calendar and import it to Outlook.

To export your calendar from Windows 10 Calendar, you can follow these steps:

• Open the Calendar app and click on the gear icon at the bottom left corner.
• Click on Manage Accounts and select the account that you want to export.
• Click on Settings and sharing and then click on Export calendar.
• Save the zip file to your computer and extract it. You should see an .ics file inside.

To import your calendar to Outlook, you can follow these steps:
