I want to know how to rearrange, move, the multiple accounts I have in Outlook. Simply move one from the top to the bottom and vice versa. What would seem like a very simple task. The accounts I have are two Microsoft accounts and one Gmail account. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. By the way this is the "New Outlook" so I've found you cant just click and drag the account like before. I'm guessing they require you to go back to school and get a masters in Computer Science to perform what should be a fairly simple task, Anyways, thank in advance for the help!

This doesn't work for the new Outlook. It's ridiculous. Old version and even Mail app for windows was better and we could move up and down all accounts without problem. I really hope they fix this issue since soon we won't be able to use the old outlook version nor Mail app. Make me really upset!
Hello Brian C, I'm Shalom and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself. Here are some general steps you can try: 1. Outlook Desktop (Windows or Mac): - Open Outlook. - In the left sidebar, you should see a list of your email accounts. - Click on the "..." (More Options) button next to the account you want to move. - Select "Move Up" or "Move Down" to change the position of the account in the list. - You can repeat this for other accounts as needed. - Changes should be saved automatically. 2. Mobile Apps (Outlook for iOS/Android): - Open the Outlook app on your mobile device. - Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the top-left corner to access the navigation menu. - Scroll down to find your email accounts listed. - Tap and hold an account to drag and rearrange it within the list. - Release your finger to drop the account in the desired position. - Changes should be saved automatically. This does not apply to the "New Outlook" email client which is currently being rolled out.
It can be done in MSOffice - Outlook client, but NOT in the "New Outlook" replacing the slightly older Windows Mail client.
I have tried what you are suggesting and it does not work on my laptop. Also, I'm not trying to make "favorites", I want to reorder accounts.
Click and hold on the inbox you want to move up to favorites and drag it up to its new location.
Open the email app
Click the 'cog' setting at bottom of screen
Next to 'Email Accounts', tap the pencil icon
It goes to a screen called setting and your email accounts are listed there
Tap and drag the 2x horizontal lines beside each email account until you have placed them in the preferred position
Back out and done
