Upgrading to new outlook will not accept IMAP accounts

Hi

trying to upgrade but when giving al the information of my IMAP connection the continue button is greyed out.

On another MS forum people are saying IMAP is not enabled yet, is that correct?

Indeed, the new Outlook for Windows does not support IMAP accounts yet. This means that you cannot add your email account from Yahoo!, iCloud, or other providers that use IMAP protocols to the new Outlook app. The new Outlook for Windows currently supports Exchange-backed Microsoft 365 work or school accounts, Outlook.com accounts, and Gmail accounts.

However, there is some good news. The new Outlook for Windows team is working hard to add support for more account types in the future, including IMAP accounts. They have not announced a specific timeline for this feature.     Mine has worked for many months with NO problems. Seema you all need to ask your ISP's

    It'not MS, you all have a fundamental problem. My PC automatically gave me the new Outlook last year and my 2 Imap accounts work without any problems. May be your ISP has a problem?

    Yeah, I don’t get it. It’s been working for years and now all of a sudden it doesn’t it seems like they’re going backwards. Unless you look at what they’re doing. They are requiring you to back up your email to One Drive as well. Soooo, it seems to me they’re making you use One Drive and hopefully in the future you need to pay for more storage space. Then it all starts to make sense. But, yes, it is pathetic… It’s not new technology really and no excuses for it not to accept IMAP accounts. I’m sure a lot of people aren’t to happy.
