Copy meetings from one calendar to another no longer supported

I'm using Outlook 365 on my Windows 11 PC, and the Outlook android app on my smartphone. On the PC, I have a work calendar, an association calendar, and a private one. The android app only has the private e-mail account and calendar (this is for security reasons). Until very recently, I have been able to copy meetings from the work and association calendars to the private one on my PC, so that they show up in my android Outlook app.

Microsoft has removed this functionality without warning. Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.

The workaround (involving editing the regsitry) works, but what is the long term solution?

    We use Outlook as part of Office 365 on Windows 10. I have a work calendar and a personal calendar. When I schedule a meeting or receive an invitation to a meeting, the meeting would appear in my personal calendar and I would drag and drop it into my work calendar. Apparently that functionality has been disabled as I get the "copying meetings is not supported" message. Ctl-C/Ctl-V do not work. Surely I am not the only one w/multiple calendars that finds this change annoying. A fix should be less onerous than a registry change.

    Right now I don't think there are any long-term solutions other than to request the feature back using the feedback portal.

    Meanwhile, other workarounds are to:

    Use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste a meeting from one calendar to another, as long as they are in the same Outlook profile. To do this, select the meeting you want to copy, press Ctrl+C, switch to the other calendar, select the same date and time, and press Ctrl+V.

    You can export and import calendar information from one Outlook Data File (.pst) to another, or from one calendar folder to another within the Navigation Pane.
