Copy meetings from one calendar to another no longer supported

I'm using Outlook 365 on my Windows 11 PC, and the Outlook android app on my smartphone. On the PC, I have a work calendar, an association calendar, and a private one. The android app only has the private e-mail account and calendar (this is for security reasons). Until very recently, I have been able to copy meetings from the work and association calendars to the private one on my PC, so that they show up in my android Outlook app.

Microsoft has removed this functionality without warning. Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.

The workaround (involving editing the regsitry) works, but what is the long term solution?

    Please add back that functionality. Many organizations need the ability to have a shared calendar.

    There is a way!

    Assuming you have added a second account to your original Outlook account:

    1. Open the meeting from second calendar that you want to copy to your original calendar
    2. Select "File"
    3. Select "Move to Folder"
    4. Select "Copy to Folder"
    5. Select OK (default selection will be your original Calendar which is represented by an icon of a circle with three dots on it next to the word "Calendar").

    That's it!

    Yes, it worked for you and a small percentage of other users, whose computers are not locked down by corporate America security standards.

    A previous post mentioned adding this to the Registry (Win11 HOME) and setting the value to 1. It worked for me.

    I may have found a different workaround...

    Go to your calendar and find the event. Double click it to open it. Go to File and select move to folder - one of the folders will be your other Calendar.

    You can also do this in batches (sometimes) by searching for a keyword which will produce a list of matching items. CTRL A to select them all and then right click on one item and there is an option to "Move". I see an option to copy to a folder as well, but didn't try that.

    Worked for me by using a combo of both approaches above. Now to try and automate that feature such as all events from "******@email.com" put in calendar (folder) "XYZ".
