Copy meetings from one calendar to another no longer supported

I'm using Outlook 365 on my Windows 11 PC, and the Outlook android app on my smartphone. On the PC, I have a work calendar, an association calendar, and a private one. The android app only has the private e-mail account and calendar (this is for security reasons). Until very recently, I have been able to copy meetings from the work and association calendars to the private one on my PC, so that they show up in my android Outlook app.

Microsoft has removed this functionality without warning. Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.

The workaround (involving editing the regsitry) works, but what is the long term solution?

Except, of course, you can't do that in a corporate, locked down environment.

this ruins my life. I manage the workflow calendars for my org and copy/paste is critical to scheduling multiple irregular occurrences of meetings quickly and accurately. Why must they continually mess with a good thing. Also, please remove/toggle the block on resources 180 days on advance. I schedule recurring meetings out 2 years and not being able to add a room resource is frustrating.

Please engage power users when planning functional cuts. Some of us are trying to get our work done.

We copy meetings quite frequently, and have never had any "unexpected results" as MS puts it. Must have been a bump in the road to something that would have been convenient for them.
