Copy meetings from one calendar to another no longer supported

I'm using Outlook 365 on my Windows 11 PC, and the Outlook android app on my smartphone. On the PC, I have a work calendar, an association calendar, and a private one. The android app only has the private e-mail account and calendar (this is for security reasons). Until very recently, I have been able to copy meetings from the work and association calendars to the private one on my PC, so that they show up in my android Outlook app.

Microsoft has removed this functionality without warning. Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.

The workaround (involving editing the regsitry) works, but what is the long term solution?

    This is Microsoft being Microsoft... I mean, it seems they purposely evaluate the features users like most to go there and mess up with them... they do it since 90's and this time is not different :(

    Very very frustrating.

    Dave,

    The reason the Outlook Team blocked copy meeting by default is that there is risk of the copy function causing corruption on meeting items. They wanted to discourage people from doing this. For those that have long used it and never had issues they decided to have the registry key to re-enable. I'll share your feedback to team that this is not workable in locked down environments.

    @SJones1100,

    You can re-enable the copy meeting capability, Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.

    I created a registry key file you can download, EnableMeetingCopyInOutlookDesktop. Download EnableMeetingCopy.reg and double click on it to add it to your registry. After you add the registry key restart Outlook to start copying meetings again.

    Hi Jeremy,

    Do you have any suggestions that would allow us to carry the attendees, email chain, and attachments forward to the new meeting without several copy/paste steps?

    Thanks
