I'm using Outlook 365 on my Windows 11 PC, and the Outlook android app on my smartphone. On the PC, I have a work calendar, an association calendar, and a private one. The android app only has the private e-mail account and calendar (this is for security reasons). Until very recently, I have been able to copy meetings from the work and association calendars to the private one on my PC, so that they show up in my android Outlook app.
Microsoft has removed this functionality without warning. Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.
The workaround (involving editing the regsitry) works, but what is the long term solution?

Yes, same with me. I have my personal calendar and one for my department that I created. I can't Ctrl C > Ctrl V from my personal calendar to the department calendar and it's extremely frustrating. Is there another work around? Can I open the meeting series from my personal calendar and forward to the department calendar somehow?

You can re-enable the copy meeting capability for Classic Outlook, Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.
I created a registry key file you can download, EnableMeetingCopyInOutlookDesktop. Download EnableMeetingCopy.reg and double click on it to add it to your registry. After you add the registry key restart Outlook to start copying meetings again.
You replied to Jeremy but he isn't with Microsoft. He's just an IT tech who hated having to try to fix some Outlook issues. And calling it a terrible feature because it created other unrelated problems is.. illogical. Both his logic and suggestion to others are self centered.
That's not to say MS isn't being self centered. They are. And much worse. In their own words, their copy feature "caused corruption" and you are totally correct to ask why they don't just fix that. I believe the answer is dysfunctional and uncaring leadership, and that won't change any time soon.
