Copy meetings from one calendar to another no longer supported

I'm using Outlook 365 on my Windows 11 PC, and the Outlook android app on my smartphone. On the PC, I have a work calendar, an association calendar, and a private one. The android app only has the private e-mail account and calendar (this is for security reasons). Until very recently, I have been able to copy meetings from the work and association calendars to the private one on my PC, so that they show up in my android Outlook app.

Microsoft has removed this functionality without warning. Outlook blocks copying meetings with “Copying meetings is not supported.” - Microsoft Support.

The workaround (involving editing the regsitry) works, but what is the long term solution?

    It's obvious: You will live without it. MS does not care. Even here in their own support forum they avoid acknowledging their ineptness while foisting a solution that works for a minority of customers.

    Here is the reg key entry that has to be added for the old outlook

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\Calendar

    EnableMeetingCopy=DWORD:1

    Taken from a previous post. This works. To explain it a bit more plainly...

    Create a new entry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\Calendar

    Make it a DWORD entry. Name it EnableMeetingCopy. Change the value from 0 to 1,

    Edit: This information might not be that useful anymore. I was only reading page 1 of this thread when I made the reply. This works for me, though.

    Please note - it is SAVE A COPY and the behavior is the same! The title will include "copy:"

    A little background for my specific environment.

    I am allowed to share/see my external calendar and email inside a corporate environment.

    I open the email in either account and under File/Info/Move to a Folder.

    It appears that it is only the Drag and Drop part has been disabled.....

    Please add macOS to the list. The registry edit option is only viable on Windows machines. macOS office users have been given NO viable alternative or workaround. I feel completely forgotten about over here!

    Please provide a workaround that is viable on macOS, or have the team add back in the feature on macOS specifically. This has become extremely cumbersome and I have to deal with it every week. If there is still fear of corruption, then make it a setting that defaults to OFF or something. Removal of a used feature should be a last resort. This thread is indicative of the consequences.
