Hi, I am having several problems with my outlook (new) app. I cannot import .ics files into the app as no calendar is available in the "Upload from file" window. I have verified that Outlook (new) is the default for .ics files. I cannot sync my Outlook app calendar on my laptop with my Calendar app on my Iphone 10. I get an error message when I try to sync it via Icloud. PS: I am using a gmail account for my outlook. Any suggestions? Best, Finn

Since I was using a gmail backed account I used calendar.google.com, "other calendars", "+", "import", "select file from your computer" It then showed up in Outlook (new)

The solution asks us to use the File menu, but the File menu is not there in the new outlook. Only three tabs home view and help. Please let us know how to fix this issue in the new outlook. Thanks! Hi there, Do you happen to have any guidance on how to create iCal attachments in new Outlook? The guidance found here, Create an Add to calendar link , only shares information about old Outlook. The goal is to be able to forward or attach calendar events as iCal files so folks can download and add it to their own calendars, if they choose. This was a feature I used commonly in old Outlook, but am unsure of how to do this in the new Outlook. Thanks for your time and insights! Amanda

Do not use Outlook (new). Go to the Calendar setting your Default Apps, and change the 'Set default file type types or link types .ics' to the old 'Outlook' (as labelled). Within outlook, ensure that you are using the classic edition. Some users can toggle this off using the button on the top right of the window. Close and reopen your application. .ics files should then work properly and allow you to open from an email attachment and add to your calendar.
