How can I mount a data file (pst) in new outlook. In the classic version this is doable through the File menu which is not available in new outlook.

Message to Microsoft:
It must be mandatory to support PST-files in Outlook. I have created one pst-file every year as my mail archive. This is to keep the mails local and unload servers from rarely used items. I have 2015.pst, 2016.pst etc. If I shall stay on "new" Outlook I need to have access to those files.

Furthermore. In the "old" Outlook I had a POP connection to my e-mail provider, i.e. my sent e-mails are only stored in the pst-file connected with the POP connection. I need access to those e-mails!

YOU are the internet hero of the day! We upgraded over the weekend and even though I printed all my contact information from Outlook before saving my pst file and making the change I was seriously frustrated this morning trying to find where the "File" option was. So glad it was as simple as looking for the REAL OG of programs. Thank you!!

Is this what I need to do, to make my contact groups from classic verision, work in the new Outlook. I have a service ticket open since friday Oct 18 and my issues have not been resolved. My groups have been changed to categories, but they do not auto fill to any emails. I started recreated my groups, and was able to complete maybe 6 and since then when I create a group it shows briefly and then disappears A video was requested yesterday, which I sent but have not recieve any response. So if doing the opt would help????.

Not sure what your circumstance is but for me, I installed Office 2019 on a new staging of my PC. I found two Outlook options, Classic and New. I tried New and found many of the same problems described in this issue/complaint. I instead opened Outlook Classic and set up my email account, then imported my PST file into the new outlook profile. Everything returned.

Any chance this Win11 Insider update can be temporarily uninstalled, or the OS system restored to a date before the update?
