Hotmail keeps asking for my password. My password was correct. I still changed it. It keeps asking for my password nevertheless. Not only is it very annoying but it also keeps me from using my iPhone properly because that pop-up blocks me all the time I have read some of the answers you have given to people with the same problem. You only answer by asking questions. Every time they answer your question you ask another question. So no answer to be found anywhere. Just more and more questions. If you have to ask me questions, please ask them all at once. I really don’t have time for ping-pong. Thank you.

    Your only deleting the account off of your pc/phone/tablet, not from your hotmail/outlook account.

    One you put your username and password in all your account details will be downloaded back on to your system.

    Today I managed to stop prompt for password on 2 computers with Office 2013.

    What I did is that I turned on modern authentication with a powershell script, and restartet the computer. Then I startet Outlook again and prompted the password a few times, close outlook and started it again so that it got properly started in utlook, and ofter that no one of the windows 11 computers (one desktop and one laptop is asking for a password again. The reason is very simple, because if Office 2013 enable the modern authentication, it fulfills the need for higher security login.

    Here is the text to copy into a .reg file, for instance office2013enablemodernauth.reg.

    Use notepad and copy this text into the file and save it as office2013enablemodernauth.reg and run the file afterwards.

    The file content starts below:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Exchange]
    "AlwaysUseMSOAuthForAutoDiscover"=dword:00000001

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common]

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Identity]
    "EnableADAL"=dword:00000001
    "Version"=dword:00000001

    ______________________________________________

    The last line to put in the file is over this line.

    It is rather incredible how this solves the problem since Office 2013 has support for modern authentication but is disabled by default. This should also work on newever versions of Office 2013.

    After this, there is not need to buy newever Office in order to keep on using hotmail email accounts!

    Yes! When you add all your emails, folders etc, come back the exact same! :)

    I have just done this, and thankfully when i added my email via Microsoft, EVERYTHING came back as before, nothing got deleted.
    So you go in and delete account, then add account, (if your on iphone or ipad, its the outlook email, if your on a laptop its the Microsoft Exchange one). you use your regular email address and password. Nothing needs to change...Its been almost 24 hours, and i havent been asked for my password yet. 🤞🤞
