I have this problem - Outlook 2016 doesn't accept password or app password - and i think it is a growing World wide Microsoft problem :-(

See also here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Outlook/comments/19dx64p/outlook_2013_windows_10_suddenly_not_accepting/Outlook gives me this: (startede yesterday)

I have 2 PC's with HOTMAIL accounts in Outlook 2016 ...

They both have this error.

I do get mails ... but I can´t send mails. Yesterday it did work for 1-2 hours ... but right now the error is there all the time :-(

Please help me.

Thanks in advance

Pierre

Same issue, still not resolved using BlackBerry Hub+ on a Samsung S23+. COME ON GUYS IT'S 24 DAYS SINCE PEOPLE STARTED REPORTING THIS!

I have two Outlook.com Email addresses. Stupidly, I responded to the prompts to change the password for one on 24 or 25 January, while travelling.

I am only able to access this account through Edge on my 'phone, but my desktop Outlook client has not blinked. So, on my desktop, I still have all my calendars in Outlook. (I have another gmail account to do with my sports club and my business account, which is supported by Microsoft, but has its own domain name.)

I didn't touch my other less-used personal account on my 'phone. Since around February 10th I get an alert roughly every other day in BlackBerry Hub+ to reset the password. I ignore it and some time later I will notice either or both of the notification has gone away and that I've received an Email in the BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox.

After the high anxiety of not being able to access my personal Email on my new 'phone, I calmed when I discovered that office.com via Edge on my 'phone at least gave me access, then there was hope at the end of January that Microsoft had resolved this, then increasing irritation. If I am out & about, I have to check two different apps on my 'phone to book appointments: one to check my personal calendar, one to check my sports club and business calendars. And - because some tasks didn't sync - I no longer have my personal tasks on my desktop; I'm storing them all as local tasks on my 'phone.

Was working -- albeit intermittently -- for a few days this week. Back to not working at all. JFC...

Another side effect of this off again/on again issue. Email settings being reset in client to default, requiring re-establishing said settings frequently.

Absolutely it's not true. Nearly 50 pages of comments -- new ones daily -- imploring Microsoft to do the right thing and end this hell by rolling back the changes made nearly a month ago.

For god's sake, must you keep torturing your PAYING users with this nightmare? Microsoft, just roll the **** back already.
