Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
I too have been struggling with this mess since MS created it. Unable to use EAS to sync contacts and calendar for my legacy Hotmail account to my Thunderbird 102 build with TBsync. Other accounts connect using Oauth2 without issue, but the Hotmail account would not accept app passwords or regular password.
I've tried a variety of server options including "eas.outlook.com" and "m.hotmail.com." Both have worked in the past before MS f***ed us in late January.
Today, I tried "m.outlook.com" as a server...and it worked. Or I should say, it's not yet been throwing password prompts. I can't advise on ports as TBsync doesn't provide for that setting. But give m.outlook.com a try and see if you have the same success as I have. And please let me know.
P.S. I'm using an app password to connect this account.
