Outlook 2016 doesn't accept password or app password

when yesterday i remove and add account back after using hotmail log in at 1st had issue with getting profile email but it finally work then got inbox email no mail it took awhile for it to fetch all my old emails and show up however at the end of the inbox it still said no connection retry and when i went into email saw new mail log into computer i waited see comes up nine email on phone it never did but did on k9 mail phone

me i can't handle having email that not getting me new emails hence why i uninstall it 2nd time so again if nine developers email me back or if they are any news that this nine email is working again getting new push emails then i will uninstall k9 email and install nine email and reset it up but since its still mess up

ain't going to install it back so again folk still got nine email let me know when it start working again if it start working and you receive emails tomorrow this week next week whatever

at least i finally got sorry kn9 app just sync inbox and not sync junk mail sent etc etc etc in background meh

Surprisingly, Samsung Email client with my free Hotmail account setup as an Exchange account is working. It syncs my email but not calendar, contacts.

Adding my 'support', in so far as I am also affected. Running the "Nine" mail client on Samsung S21FE. Been running this client for so long, across three phones for many years. Friday last (26-Jan-2024) it just stopped collecting email and ant attempts to resolve just fail. Nine Support sent me a link to this discussion. So ... yeah ... me too :(

so when will this actually be fixed by feb sometime this week or what?

if folks who still have 9 email if it starts working again please let me know i currently decided to uninstall it at this moment in time using k9 mail

i did tell nine to email me back let me know when app start working again no connect retry will no longer say at bottom of inbox and it will start receiving new incoming emails i just couldn't handle having it install and no longer getting any new incoming emails while k9 mail does meh

They might be using MS proprietary stuff, such as Outlook for Android, in which the settings cannot be changed or even determined for testing purposes... but yes they should know by now. It may be no coincidence that this occurred just as Microsoft is rolling out changes to the Outlook landscape.
