My email does not have the toggle option in the top right corner to get the classic outlook back. There is no longer the old outlook in the store either. I have also tried the steps in registry editor and that didn’t work out either.

I don't understand why Microsoft is not giving us an easy opportunity to go back to the Classic outlook. There are hundreds of responses concerning this. I have not tried any of the recommendations because I don't want to mess up my outlook.
RocknRobert, just to be clear, we've seen several times from several staff at Microsoft that "new Outlook" and "Classic Outlook" are not new and old versions of the same program. They are completely different programs!
Why Microsoft made the horrendous mistake of naming the new, dumbed down email program "new Outlook" no one knows. It has caused endless confusion and they should rename the new program, perhaps to "CrapMail". Evidently, from what Microsoft employees told us, they thought the public was too confused by Outlook and needed a simpler email program that does less and has less functionality. I think they were wrong.
Problem was resolved, did not need older version to resolve issue with adding an email account, it just required Imap instead of Pop account to setup. All is good.
