My email does not have the toggle option in the top right corner to get the classic outlook back. There is no longer the old outlook in the store either. I have also tried the steps in registry editor and that didn’t work out either.

i hate it too, have you found any solutions to get back?
Yes Sally. Did you see my explicit step-by-step instructions on Page 25? Look for it. With the new Outlook, the "switch" in the upper right of the New Outlook window does not work. You have to do what I said to get classic Outlook back. It's basically just a fleshed out version of what Hal posted right before. You need to get it from the Help menu, not the switch.
I'm not even sure why the left the switch there since it no longer works, but that's par for the course. They release a new version even crappier than the prior crappy version and don't even fix any of the numerous problems of the prior version, which they've known about for well over a year now. At least they didn't fix any of the 10 super annoying things that are on my personal list.
No, Outlook.exe could not be found. I figured out, I needed to download Classic Outlook, so I did and was able to set up Classic Outlook and my email is now loaded as an IMAP. Maybe, if Microsoft update New Outlook, so it works with IMAP, I'll use it. The reason I want to use IMAP is because I have outlook on my Iphone and if I delete emails on the desktop or iphone the email are gone from both.
No , once i got to prefences there were no further options to select so we could not get any further .
