Selecting text no longer working properly in Outlook Web App on MacOS

I use the Outlook web app on MacOS, and selecting text word by word no longer works (shift + option + arrow on a Mac keyboard). This stopped working sometime this weekend. I tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari) and multiple Macs (Two different MBAs and one MB Mini). I tried it on a PC and it works fine. It seems that something broken on the web app for Mac users over the weekend.

This is a critical shortcut for things like copying and pasting or deleting. Anyone having the same problem and has an idea of what to do about it?

    Okay, this has become untenable now -- the command and alt+shift are both just unpredictable, the cursor disappears at random times and this looks totally like a lost cause now. I'm deploying a weird, clumsy sequence of tabs to land back into the text editor (1980s?). I am unsure how we can get any attention from Microsoft on this (tag people on LinkedIn?). This is too fundamental to be broken this bad.

    At this point, I'm considering alternative apps to continue using Outlook -- any recommendations, anyone? I take it Mail should work... I'd kinda switched almost entirely to web apps (for business apps) for a few years now but may be time to switch...

    PS: Frankly, after typing a super long email with the new "UX", I'm kinda confused that the modifier keys are working as expected here in this text box I'm typing in.

    Any chance to tweak the script a bit?

    It seems it doesn't work at all for me.

    In any case, I'm waiting for an official Microsoft reply about this issue.

    Oh my God, this is so annoying. I've been working with this shortcut since around 2005 on a. Mac!!! And now it's changed... who is doing the usability testing on changes like this?

    It's driving me crazy, the indentation is only 5% as useful as the original short-cut.

    Is there any way to submit a ticket for the outlook.live.com domain, which must have been broken by the same 'update' as Outlook Web Access?

    Can we please get visibility of the status of the existing ticket for OWA?

    It's maddening that my cursor just disappears randomly when doing something as simple as typing in a text box and even more so that a company as large as Microsoft (who should know better!) doesn't seem to be in any hurry to fix this.
