Why does Microsoft Outlook keeps constantly asking for Password. I even had to change my password thinking it would help. It didn't. Even after I enter password, still continues prompting me to enter password. Just does not go away. And it is also affecting my account with Spectrum Roadrunner to perform other functions that I was able to do without having to enter a password. This problem just recently started and Spectrum can't help since it's a Microsoft issue causing the problem. Tried to get help by calling Microsoft by using the recommended website since I'm unable to get a live person to talk to, but the website Microsoft is directing to go for HELP wants to charge a Fee plus a monthly fee. We purchased Microsoft. Didn't use to have this issue

I am thankful to say that mine was resolved some time ago now and I can't remember how it happened! Sometimes I find that I've been trying to fix something and it happens so quickly that I have difficulty realising how it happened.
I managed to get my "password" problem solved, many months ago now, and I cannot remember how it happened!
I have to admit that I have not taken up the new Outlook - it put me off when I started to look at it. I suppose I'll have to start it sometime, but I'm not very good at understanding all the technical language. Good luck with yours.
I got a message from Microsoft last week that I had to make changes due to security reasons that I'd lose access to my Outlook.com email through Outlook 2019. It said only the newer versions of Outlook (such as Office 365 and some non-MS programs) were compatible after last Sunday. So, I moved my Outlook.com email account from Outlook 2019 to Mozilla Thunderbird. I no longer have the issues with needing to re-enter my password now. I now use Outlook 2019 for my other email accounts (not Outlook.com). Problem solved.

I have to say that although I have had a message to update my Outlook account I have not yet done so, but have noted the name of the one you have chosen to use so that might help when I do it. Thank you.
Microsoft, just please effing MAKE THIS STOP!!!
It has been a constantly problem on BOTH my computers. Nothing in this thread has ever worked to solve it. I've nuked and reset the Outlook profile multiple times on both machines. I have ran with O365 mail accounts from 3 different domains in Outlook for YEARS and never had a problem until about the last year. Sometimes I can go a week without being prompted for credentials. Other times like today it will do it half a dozen times a day on EVERY account.
I have specifically had to BLOCK MFA from deploying on 2 business domains because of this constant issue. This bug is effectively resulting a massive security hole because it would be completely unusable with MFA active and the constant login prompts (I tried it for a week before I had to go in and disable it in a rage).
I'm seriously considering abandoning O365 and MS over this and the future of "new Outlook".
