Why does Microsoft Outlook keep asking for Password

Why does Microsoft Outlook keeps constantly asking for Password. I even had to change my password thinking it would help. It didn't. Even after I enter password, still continues prompting me to enter password. Just does not go away. And it is also affecting my account with Spectrum Roadrunner to perform other functions that I was able to do without having to enter a password. This problem just recently started and Spectrum can't help since it's a Microsoft issue causing the problem. Tried to get help by calling Microsoft by using the recommended website since I'm unable to get a live person to talk to, but the website Microsoft is directing to go for HELP wants to charge a Fee plus a monthly fee. We purchased Microsoft. Didn't use to have this issue

I had the same issue. I uninstalled MS Office 2016 Pro Plus completely and went over the control panel in the mail section if I can call it that. I set up the profiles, and I believe that solved the issue. Fingers crossed. There have been no pop-ups yet.

    Hi Neil,

Thanks for responding. I have an older HP Pavilion running on Windows 10. I don't recall seeing the Microsoft email regarding the migration. At this point, I've removed the outlook app from my laptop and re-installed. When I bring up outlook now, nothing is in there. All my files are gone. When I try to send a test email to myself it cannot find an account. I try to add a new email account (which was my old outlook account) but getting error messages cannot connect to the server (even though WIFI connection is fine). Ugh. I am not very savvy when it comes to these things and am now at a loss on what to do.

    Hello,

None of these suggested workarounds work. I've tried all and still prompted over and over again for my password. I cannot receive nor send any new emails. This is exasperating. Someone please help me fix this issue.

Thank you for your email. I'm glad o say that my problem with the password has long since been solved, but I can't remember how it happened.

I haven't yet changed to the new Outlook but may have to do so very soon. Not looking forward to changes.

Thanks for your email. Fortunately my problem with the "password" issue was resolved months ago, I can't remember how after all this time. I am not anything like you in being able to experiment with different programmes, etc, I suppose I'll eventually have to upgrade to the new Outlook programme but I'm not looking forward to doing it. Change of this kind doesn't suit me! Glad you have got yours up and running successfully.
