I cannot copy a complete e-mail anymore and paste it in a new e-mail.

Hi, I am using the most recent version of Office 365 Outlook, and since I updated to the new layout, I am not able to copy a complete email anymore.

The only option I have is to copy and move the email to a certain number of preset folders. However, I mostly use this function to copy and add the email to an ongoing but different email thread. It seems that this not possible anymore or at least I don't how to do it.

Thanks for anyone's advice.

I believe in the new update, Microsoft introduced the copy feature. Now I can copy and paste the old email in a new email.

I have tested it on two computers and it worked.

    Hi,

I just tried it again and it is now possible to drag and drop a message (email), in its entirety, into a new message.

This functionality is critical to have when troubleshooting email phishing incidents and other email based cyber-attacks. I'm sure hackers/attackers are thrilled that my job has been made immeasurably more difficult with this new "enhancement."

    Seriously?

Only method 2 provides the intended result, and you now need twelve steps where previously you only needed two. Actually even some more because afterwards you need to find the msg file in your Explorer and delete it.

Copy & pasting objects has been a standard feature of any application for decades, and you are stripping it off ... Please bring back this feature!

(Not personal, it's not your fault - just want to express my strong disappointment about Microsoft)

    Thanks for the feedback.

I however think Microsoft is moving backwards - and not slowly.

Something that used to take 3 seconds is now a minute process. In a fast-paced business world this is very disappointing.
