Hello again,

Sent emails have disappeared from sent inbox. This issue has been for at least 3 weeks now.

I need all my sent emails that disappeared back in sent folder as soon as possible.

Please I have tried everything and checked all folders in email no where to find these emails.

I do believe it is a glitch and a bug in the Microsoft Outlook system. Can someone from Microsoft please look into this and contact me as soon as possible.

I have posted many times and no one has contacted from Microsoft I tried calling and a recorded voice automated machine says help is gone online. This has become a big joke!! I need HELP!!

I type hotmail in google and click login on Outlook and I sign in, I have had no issues in the past just recently noticed emails disappeared.

I need my emails as soon as possible.

Please help!!!

UPDATE: Simple fix (I can absolutely swear on my mother's grave that I did not disable this feature). "If your sent emails are missing in Outlook, it's likely because the setting to save copies of messages in the "Sent Items" folder is not enabled; meaning Outlook isn't storing your sent emails automatically; to fix this, go to File > Options > Mail, and ensure the "Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder" checkbox is ticked."

This is now happening to me and there doesn't seem to be an answer anywhere. Like all of you, I HAVE TO HAVE my sent emails. So far the only solution I've been offered is to use OWA (which does work). So it begs the question... Where the Heck are my emails going when I send them???

In my case, all the sent emails arrive as anticipated (go to the recipient). Also, If you use "Try the new Outlook" it also works (saves your sent items properly).

    WTH Microsoft???

    Mike

I found that on an update outlook had switched off 'save sent emails. To correct - In outlook Go to file, then account settings, then account settings again. Double click on the account giving problems and untick 'Don't save copies of sent items'. Worked for me. It stops problem occurring but wont get back previously unsaved sent emails

This is a community forum – so I guess you'll need to call Microsoft Support to get the support staff working on your problem.

We have the same problem where sent emails aren't to be found in the sent folder in «New» Outlook.

The strange thing is that if we switch back to «Classic» Outlook we are able to find the mail in the sent folder, even though it was sent from «New» Outlook.

So def. seem to be an Outlook issue – not a user / device problem.

    We are on Microsoft 365.

    Hiya,

I have just come across this issue myself, background its a laptop used by the family business, 2 users and me (IT support).

Firstly I thought it was user related, however I followed the evidence and can't find any deleted emails in the delete items.

Secondly, I thought the email provider had a service problem with its email (BT), not the case.

Thirdly, checked for any automated archiving, nothing and made sure show by conversation is turned off at the client and by the provider (BT).

I have a working theory of why this might occur and it is to do with the OST cache size. They work as surveyors and exchange attachments of considerable size, currently 135MB of attachments and I wonder if it is these that are causing an OST cache corruption issue.

Just a theory with little evidence ....

    Any other views?
