New Outlook with multiple accounts

I wanted to thank you again for suggesting BetterBird over Thunderbird as the more I use BetterBird the more I like it over Thunderbird. Perhaps the things I'm noticing were in Thunderbird and I simply overlooked them but I'm guessing some of what I'm finding is simply BetterBird. If anyone that's reading about everyone's frustrations with Outlook Classic or New Outlook just take Betterbird for a spin. I had no problem with porting my PST file and my contacts directly from Outlook and I'm happy that my frustrations with Outlook are over.

Thanks for your input. I decided to do the same as you I don't want the hassle of setting up an experiment service only to have to change to a different one later. I just wish Microsoft would give us a platform that fills my needs. The obviously could but are trying to push everyone into using outlook for their exclusive email account

I have been using Thunderbird and I have tried the one suggested, the same problem appears to be unfixable on both, it does not delete files properly, and I am left with this heading with a stupid date and delectable,
It is removed on restarting BUT I have to do that for every 7-10 emails, it is so frustrating that I have decided to put up with the Windows second-rate client, all others I have tried on the free tier have something missing, either too limited in accounts, won't sort by date etcetera.

I'm curious whether you're inbound server set up is IMAP or POP3? It seems that most email apps want to configure the server settings for IMAP and IMAP is designed to place a copy of the message from the server in your inbox but leave the message on the server. Perhaps what's happening is that it's deleting the copy in Thunderbird or Betterbird and indicating that when you exit it's going to delete the message off the server but not until you exit. POP3 on the other hand downloads the message into Thunderbird or BetterBird and removes it from the server so when you delete it, it's really deleted. I have mobile devices setup as IMAP so I can see and read my mail while I'm on the go but I have always set up my copy of Outlook, Thunderbird or BetterBird on my PC as POP3 and I've never had a problem deleting a message with that configuration.

Betterbird is well-maintained. Especially the recurrent amnesia of Thunderbird with login credentials has been solved.

The Thunderbird team is unresponsive.

I have not experienced crashes on Win11 and the app is lightning fast with 160k emails. I use Gmail, Outlook, Gmx, Yahoo and other providers and it all works well.

With Thunderbird there were random issues and frustrations.

These guys took the Thunderbird codebase and fixed and improved it. Email has just become an app that I use but never notice, because it works ...

I gave up on Outlook and this Unified Inbox problem. MS is unable to fix this. The easy solution is to install BetterBird from betterbird dot eu - this is an optimised version of Thunderbird. It also solves some issues of Thunderbird with the authentication issues since the changes from dear MS. I have 20 email accounts from different providers and it has been working without problems for 6 months.

Thanks for the reply. I know you mentioned that BetterBird solved some issues and that was the reason for witching from Thunderbird. Since I keep seeing info that said BetterBird is better I thought I would download it and check it out. It automatically grabbed everything from Thunderbird except a theme and an add-on but from a look and feel, both look the same so I'm wondering what you can tell me what I might expect to be different than what I experienced with Thunderbird?
