New Outlook with multiple accounts

Hi,

In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.

I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.

I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,

Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.

These are not wants, they are absolute needs.

Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

Any help appreciated.

I ended up going to Outlook Classic which works well. The trick was in setting up POP with Gmail and overcoming the Windows Hello intervening at every step of the way. I had to turn off Hello and then get the App Password from Google.

Once that was done, I had to point all my emails to a single PST folder and then also decide how much of the older data I wanted to backfill into Outlook. My Gmail history is to big and would make the PST file unuseable.

Not it works and I am not messing with it hopefully for a long, long time.

Yea Ive made the move to Blue Mail now, due to MS not supporting a simple unified inbox we have all been asking for since we were forced to use the horrid new outlook... with the annoying Ads to make me apply for credit cards... its a shame, it looked very userfriendly and looked fresh.
Blue mail looks good, Free, no Ads.. and has a unified email inbox, you can get it in the Microsoft store.

Atrocious this hasn't been added after waiting so long. I requested this even before this trash app was forced onto me on a daily basis.

    The previous one was fine.

What you get to spam us with ads on multiple accounts this way?
