Hi,
In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.
I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.
I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,
Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.
These are not wants, they are absolute needs.
Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management

It specifically says:
"This is also great for people who have accounts from multiple providers, as they can access them all from one unified inbox."
This seems to imply an actual unified inbox not just all the accounts together in one mail app with separate inboxes. But they could be playing very loose with wording.
The new outlook is so buggy that ALL Mailboxes disappears from time to time. Can't find it. Also, can't get all my contacts to work with all my email accounts!!!! This application is slowing me down dramatically.
You don't know what you're talking about. Yes, Microsoft keeps creating new products and naming them the same as the old ones and the old one becomes the new one and the new one becomes the old one. It's all very confusing. They did this with 365 also. Microsoft is great for confusing the h out of everyone. It so difficult to try and find an email in their program. Mailbird did a very good job - had no problem implementing a unified inbox. I spend all day looking for emails. There isn't even a universal search! Archaic and inefficient as all else.
Mailbird, bluemail have been suggested... Any comments? And by the way I kept switching from new outlook to the mail for Windows every time giving a comment about this and after three weeks or 5 'they' basically left me alone and I only have the old outlook opening every time now go figure I guess I can ride it until the end of December.. ? LOL
Complete and utter lies
Blue mail covers all the basics and make installation on other devices fairly automatic. the only problem i find is that it takes much longer to load up on windows 10 than old outlook or on android. for microsoft to semi force switching to a "new" crippled version of a good and functional existing app (old outlook) is unconscionable.
