Hello, I have changed my password with outlook and after I tried to updated with BlackBerry hub services either on my android device or Pixel 8 can't authenticate or connect to server errors persists. Microsoft Azure certificate comes faulty as well and I need a solution for it because it looks like nobody in this office using BlackBerry hub app in pixel 8 and even BlackBerry key2 can't connect to outlook. After uninstall and reinstall does the same "can't connect to server" or "can't authenticate" error not on exchange server, imap or pop. I tried everything and Microsoft seems not to answer questions about it.

    Hello, my problem isn't related with Outlook App. The problem is with Microsoft Server. Your server marks Orange warning which indicate your server has problems. Thank you anyway.

    Hi all,

    I just posted this request in another thread, Outlook 2016 doesn't accept password or app password - Microsoft Community.

    The service team asked me to get the Outlook.com email address for those seeing the issue so they can check the backend to investigate what is causing the auth prompts. Thank you to those that responded. If they need more I will post again 2/2/24.

    Very disappointed with both BlackBerry... not my problem gobtalk to Microsoft... and Microsoft... it is fully resolved. Shut up now.

    After hours of trying finally got outlook. And it took 24 hours to get things mostly sulynched (I have a lot of folders and contacts) which means it was going in and out and in and out and now it keeps asking for password which is correct.

    Effing nonsense.

    They did not fix it.

    It is as bad as before and they are pretending they did something.

    Likewise, I've emailed Blackberry Support a couple of times and not heard anything back; I know the monthly cost of Hub+ is not a great amount, but nevertheless, I am a paying customer.

    Also, Microsoft claiming it is Resolved, when it is patently obvious that it is not. I might be a bit cynical but of course 3rd party apps having issues is a benefit to Microsoft. I have always used Outlook on my PC, but never used it on portable devices as it doesn't fit my needs to do so; I am now forced to use the Outlook app on my devices.

    This is all very frustrating. My next Blackberry subscription is at the end of Feb, if it's not sorted by that point, then sadly, it will be bye bye Blackberry.

    I have the same issues, since 22 Jan 2024. I have been chatting with 2 outlook/hotmail mail helpdesk people before I found this thread. They were clearly not aware of this thread and effectively told me 'go to blackberry'.

    My work around solution, not ideal as it does not sync folders nor allows you to transfer mails to folders through the hub, is to do the following (translating this from Dutch, so may not all be correct):

    • manually add the email address to the hub (so not the automatic option)
    • chose POP3
    • settings ingoing server:

    * server: outlook.office365.com

    * port: 995

    * safety type: SSL/TLS

    • settings outgoing server:

    * server: smtp.outlook.office365.com

    * port: 587

    * safety type: STARTTLS
