BlackBerry android devices or any Google device can't connect to outlook server

Hello, I have changed my password with outlook and after I tried to updated with BlackBerry hub services either on my android device or Pixel 8 can't authenticate or connect to server errors persists. Microsoft Azure certificate comes faulty as well and I need a solution for it because it looks like nobody in this office using BlackBerry hub app in pixel 8 and even BlackBerry key2 can't connect to outlook. After uninstall and reinstall does the same "can't connect to server" or "can't authenticate" error not on exchange server, imap or pop. I tried everything and Microsoft seems not to answer questions about it.

    Hello All,

Just a single data point here, but I had tried to delete my account and re-add it a few days ago. Since that time, I was unsuccessful. But today I was successful in re-adding my outlook account and here were the steps which worked for me:

    1. Go to the add e-mail account function
    2. Add your outlook e-mail
    3. Enter password and hit next
    4. At this point you will get an authentication error (unless you are really lucky!)
    5. On the "account cannot be authenticated" prompt, there is an option to "update settings" ...click on that
    6. on the next screen for the server settings, I DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING AT ALL. just hit "next"
    7. It was successful

I think they have made some changes on their end, because I have been doing the above steps for several days and only today it went through. E-mails are coming on time as well.

Wish everyone good luck, I think we are nearing resolution. Sometimes the server changes take time to propagate. Don't lose hope...worked for me today!

I've had the same issues with 'can't authenticate' for about the same time. I tried to click the Select button by Client certificate, and it quickly pops up a msg "Key Chain". I googled that and it seems to be related to IOS, although I am on an Android and downloaded the Android version. Seems odd.

I've tried that many times, but no luck. Perhaps it's geographical? I'm based in Abu Dhabi but the problem persists either on a UK VPN or direct to my provider here.

The behaviour is like it's not recognising the password. I've tried both my regular hotmail password and several of the generated App passwords, but always the same.

The same for me. Tried many app passwords, nothing is changed. Still cannot add my accounts.

I had a long period yesterday when it all worked fine (maybe 6 hours); however, woke this morning (UK time) and was again being asked to change password.

According to Microsoft the issue is resolved.....

Outlook and other apps are unable to connect to Outlook.com - Microsoft Support

I am not so confident. I followed their advice and changed to 2 step verification and copied and pasted the password for Blackberry into my app; failure.

I deleted my email account from Hub+ and added it again, using the copied and pasted password; again, at the end of the process it tells me to change my settings, I clicked on 'Next' about 8 or 10 times and eventually it took it. I successfully sent a test email then.

Its working at the moment, but I'm not holding my breath that this has resolved the issue for Hub+.

    Edit;

Within 20 mins of doing the above I am again being asked to change password and the process again fails when trying to validate the server settings.
