BlackBerry android devices or any Google device can't connect to outlook server

Probably you don't have BlackBerry Hub+Services App installed

Same exact thing has happened. For past few days my outlook email would work sporadically, asking me to re-enter the password, but would eventually synch.
Now it's been disconnected for 24 hours.

I removed the account from my device, changed my password and now it won't add the account at all!

I try to add it

"*** Email address is removed for privacy *** can't be authenticated. Update your account settings and try again."

This is frustrating!!!!!

I tried everything. Next may be to remove Blackberry Services entirely.

One possibility : when I click on Select next to Client Certificates I get "The App Blackberry Hub+Services has requested a certificate. Choosing a certificate will let this app use this identity with services." -- and gives me Android Find my Mobile and a Microsoft workaccount certificate. Neither works or helps.

Using the Outlook app -- zero problems! Email right there. Simple.

The problem is I use this account for my contacts and my calendar!

Hi, I haven't read carefully all the items in the thread but after the BlackBerry Hub started asking me for the password to my hotmail account and working sporadically as many have said, I deleted the account and then couldn't get it added to my phone. But eventually I did find a SOLUTION though it may not work for everyone especially because I only use this account for email and nothing else. What I did is this:

go to add account in the Hub

choose POP3 account

choose to add manually

put in email and password (check that everything works on web mail)

outlook.office365.com for incoming server

995 for port

TLS for encryption

smtp-mail.outlook.com for outgoing server

port 587

STARTTLS for encryption

I was able to put the account back in the Hub. This is for my Android phone (OnePlus 7T)

On my desktop, when I'm asked to put in the password, I do and it connects. I don't get asked to do it often.

Removing BB Hub does not help you. I have one phone with BB Hub and the other blank new Sony I V with only default Android apps. Neither phone allowing to add MS Outlook mail account as Exchange account which will sync calendar and contacts.

I can add outlook mail account to both phones as IMAP or POP without problems.

I managed to solve the problem by installing Microsoft Outlook for Android. Then added this account to Blackberry HUB on one phone and to GMail to another phone. Now I can see again my contacts and calendar. And syncing working again between phones and PC-s.

Before the 24 January there were no need to install Outlook for Android to get Exchange account into phone. It is definitely something Microsoft changed on their servers.
