Using Outlook for Android for personal email and calendar management
Sorry but not even through imap or POP can authenticate. It doesn't work for me.

Hello, I have changed my password with outlook and after I tried to updated with BlackBerry hub services either on my android device or Pixel 8 can't authenticate or connect to server errors persists. Microsoft Azure certificate comes faulty as well and I need a solution for it because it looks like nobody in this office using BlackBerry hub app in pixel 8 and even BlackBerry key2 can't connect to outlook. After uninstall and reinstall does the same "can't connect to server" or "can't authenticate" error not on exchange server, imap or pop. I tried everything and Microsoft seems not to answer questions about it.

POP and IMAP access to your account will give you email access only, not Calendars etc. It can be a work-round if that is all you want, but is not a fix for inability to authenticate EAS with password. Hitting X to use Microsoft login directs to Azure applicable only to business and schools not individual users. If that directed instead to Microsoft login then maybe that would help.
Looking at Google Play Reviews of Blackberry Hub+, BB have replied to one unhappy user with the following:
"BlackBerry Limited 26 January 2024, Hello, we regret that you are having issues with Outlook email access. There are many reports in Microsoft and reddit forums of many users having similar issues with diverse email clients authenticating against Microsoft email servers. We currently believe this is a Microsoft service issue, but we are also investigating on our end."
At the moment I am still getting emails and Calendar using my EAS login. That is interspersed with notifications to enter password, the latter fails each time and then invited to look at settings. There has clearly been a MS server side change January 2024 affecting authentication that has impacted individual BB Hub+ users accessing outlook, email and calendars which needs to be fixed.
Thanks. Partial solution and POP3 is not as robust as Exchange, but far better than nothing. So a great stop-gap measure.
It does give me calendar access but not contacts. I guess I can move the contacts temporarily to my working gmail or work account.
Some idiosyncrasies such as:
So it's a good way to just read emails but not organize them.
Maybe IMAP would be better? Does anyone have the server details for that? Thanks. I tried (same as above port 993 except it says it cannot connect to server) ...
I sure hope BB fixes this ... otherwise why am I paying every month for it?
PS please note POP access is disabled by default on Outlook.com emails. Go to a browser:
Enable POP access in Outlook.com
If you want to use POP to access your email in Outlook.com, you'll first need to enable POP access.
Great! I'm happy it worked for you too!
THIS worked..!!! Thank you. After days of fighting this.... This worked. The problem seems to happen every few months for me.
