Hello, I have changed my password with outlook and after I tried to updated with BlackBerry hub services either on my android device or Pixel 8 can't authenticate or connect to server errors persists. Microsoft Azure certificate comes faulty as well and I need a solution for it because it looks like nobody in this office using BlackBerry hub app in pixel 8 and even BlackBerry key2 can't connect to outlook. After uninstall and reinstall does the same "can't connect to server" or "can't authenticate" error not on exchange server, imap or pop. I tried everything and Microsoft seems not to answer questions about it.

I've had the same issues with 'can't authenticate' for about the same time. I tried to click the Select button by Client certificate, and it quickly pops up a msg "Key Chain". I googled that and it seems to be related to IOS, although I am on an Android and downloaded the Android version. Seems odd.

    Hello All,

Just a single data point here, but I had tried to delete my account and re-add it a few days ago. Since that time, I was unsuccessful. But today I was successful in re-adding my outlook account and here were the steps which worked for me:

    1. Go to the add e-mail account function
    2. Add your outlook e-mail
    3. Enter password and hit next
    4. At this point you will get an authentication error (unless you are really lucky!)
    5. On the "account cannot be authenticated" prompt, there is an option to "update settings" ...click on that
    6. on the next screen for the server settings, I DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING AT ALL. just hit "next"
    7. It was successful

I think they have made some changes on their end, because I have been doing the above steps for several days and only today it went through. E-mails are coming on time as well.

Wish everyone good luck, I think we are nearing resolution. Sometimes the server changes take time to propagate. Don't lose hope...worked for me today!

I am so frustrated right now. I had my email coming through my BB Hub (no contacts or calendars, or notes,) by manually setting up POP3, and thought I should try again (based on the most recent posts to this thread) to use the Exchange ActiveSync. So I removed my account, and now I can't connect it again, by any of the 3 ways (POP3, IMAP, or ActiveSync - which is what I prefer). So the problem is still not resolved.

No I'm not sure what to do - just give up or keep trying... I just know I don't have time or energy for this. It's been a week and I feel like I'm worse than when I started.

feeling defeated right now, and just hoping someone is still working on this.

As far as I can tell it seems to have resolved on my end as I am not seeing the red light and notices indicating an authentication error.

Keep in mind it may take a while for the update to fully propagate to the server you connect locally.

I know a few years back at my employer, they would tell me that when they made an update in active directory, it could take up to 30 minutes for the changes to get applied to all the remote servers.

What I have done is go into the Apps under settings, force the hub, email, calendar, etc apps to stop. Then reopen the hub and wait for it to reconnect.

The other trick that works is turn off wifi and cellulardata. Wait a few seconds and turn it back on. That seems to trigger the apps to check the server for updates.

I got it to work. I had to do the BlackBerry Hub+ setup. Put in my email and select manual setup. Copy & paste the app password for *Outlook*. Then update the server under the manual screen from hotmail.com to outlook.office365.com and it went through.
