Hello, I have changed my password with outlook and after I tried to updated with BlackBerry hub services either on my android device or Pixel 8 can't authenticate or connect to server errors persists. Microsoft Azure certificate comes faulty as well and I need a solution for it because it looks like nobody in this office using BlackBerry hub app in pixel 8 and even BlackBerry key2 can't connect to outlook. After uninstall and reinstall does the same "can't connect to server" or "can't authenticate" error not on exchange server, imap or pop. I tried everything and Microsoft seems not to answer questions about it.

    I get authentication error intermittently and simply ignore. However, email and calendar seem to be working normally. I have not reconfigured anything.

    Must say I'm surprised how many people subscribe to BB Hub.

    On Google Pay, under subscriptions you can freeze the automatic payments up to 3 months. I did it before next billing until the problem is solved. So I suggest the same so you don't get billed for next month and when it gets solved then you can reactivate. It is a Microsoft problem, they have the problem even with Windows phones and outlook application for other Android devices. I have chatted with them several times and finally an agent admitted it as a Microsoft issue (like a firewall) that technical team and developers are working on the server. As today, only AWS can connect with Microsoft server after an update and I find it odd. How Android devices can't connect through ActiveSync, Imap or Pop? Even in own Microsoft platform but Amazon can. That's the million dollar question. Million of people are shutdown thought third party apps when trying to connect to Microsoft server. Sooner or later this will be solved.

    I have the same issues, since 22 Jan 2024. I have been chatting with 2 outlook/hotmail mail helpdesk people before I found this thread. They were clearly not aware of this thread and effectively told me 'go to blackberry'.

    My work around solution, not ideal as it does not sync folders nor allows you to transfer mails to folders through the hub, is to do the following (translating this from Dutch, so may not all be correct):

    • manually add the email address to the hub (so not the automatic option)
    • chose POP3
    • settings ingoing server:

    * server: outlook.office365.com

    * port: 995

    * safety type: SSL/TLS

    • settings outgoing server:

    * server: smtp.outlook.office365.com

    * port: 587

    * safety type: STARTTLS

    Likewise, I've emailed Blackberry Support a couple of times and not heard anything back; I know the monthly cost of Hub+ is not a great amount, but nevertheless, I am a paying customer.

    Also, Microsoft claiming it is Resolved, when it is patently obvious that it is not. I might be a bit cynical but of course 3rd party apps having issues is a benefit to Microsoft. I have always used Outlook on my PC, but never used it on portable devices as it doesn't fit my needs to do so; I am now forced to use the Outlook app on my devices.

    This is all very frustrating. My next Blackberry subscription is at the end of Feb, if it's not sorted by that point, then sadly, it will be bye bye Blackberry.

    Very disappointed with both BlackBerry... not my problem gobtalk to Microsoft... and Microsoft... it is fully resolved. Shut up now.

    After hours of trying finally got outlook. And it took 24 hours to get things mostly sulynched (I have a lot of folders and contacts) which means it was going in and out and in and out and now it keeps asking for password which is correct.

    Effing nonsense.

    They did not fix it.

    It is as bad as before and they are pretending they did something.
