Hello, I have changed my password with outlook and after I tried to updated with BlackBerry hub services either on my android device or Pixel 8 can't authenticate or connect to server errors persists. Microsoft Azure certificate comes faulty as well and I need a solution for it because it looks like nobody in this office using BlackBerry hub app in pixel 8 and even BlackBerry key2 can't connect to outlook. After uninstall and reinstall does the same "can't connect to server" or "can't authenticate" error not on exchange server, imap or pop. I tried everything and Microsoft seems not to answer questions about it.

    Hi all,

The Outlook Team has updated the guidance about this issue, Outlook and other apps are unable to connect to Outlook.com when using Basic authentication - Microsoft Support.

A key take away is that everyone needs to work towards being on apps that support OAuth for Outlook.com. If you are using Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 an immediately available free option is to install the New Outlook, Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Apps. We will continue to update the guidance with learnings and status updates as we go.

I ran into this problem previously when I purchased my Google Pixel 7. Then I was able to speak to someone at Microsoft Support. The fix was very easy. Once I explained the situation to the MS Rep we determined that a security code provided by MS was the way into Outlook's authentication process. Apparently MS has put in another security measure into the outlook software. Now mind you, this was the fix under the Old Outlook. However, it is not unreasonable to assume that security measure carried over to the New Outlook. Also, then I had and still have two accounts with MS (*****@msn.com and ********@outlook.com). I believe, but am not 100% certain that one initial security code provided by the MS Rep to allow me to authenticate both of them with BB Hub+.

My frustration now lays in the fact that I have struggled and have not been able to speak to a human being at MS at all this time around. The first time around was still very difficult, but i managed to talk to a human being. This time around I have run into road blocks that never existed the first time. This is the problem when one (or a few) company dominate an industry. The customer/user gets lost and left behind without any possibility of voicing there desire to stay current and relevant to the monopolies. I hope this thread pokes the bear to, at the very least, bring us to where we want to be with this issue first of all.

One last thing that goes without saying is that once both accounts were authenticated the passwords were changed to my liking.

20 is the magic number then. It's still a hassle because I don't know whether I'm seeing all my emails unless I check against my desktop or something like that.

I sure hope Microsoft solves it soon.
