BlackBerry android devices or any Google device can't connect to outlook server

We ALL did your recommandation and it doesn't work.

I think a lot of people in this community has already respond to that :

• the double authentification doesn't change anything : we still get rejected by BlackBerrry hub
• Simple or double authentification work in other apps like Outlook or Samsung mail
• Mail accounts OUTSIDE Microsoft work on Blackberry Hub (Gmail for example)

So the problem is specifically between BlackBerry Hub and Microsoft Exchange.

Right now, BlackBerry Hub's notes are decreasing drastically due to this problem and people download more Outlook App in order to compensante....so can you please find a solution or is it in your interest to keep this incident running in benefit of your App ? :)

Yes, I am aware of that, indeed that is what I did for the account using two-step authentication; it makes no difference at all, both that account, and the one not using two-step authentication, still produce the password issue in BB Hub+.

However, using the Samsung mail app does not have any issues with Hotmail, proving that Hotmail can work fine with at least one 3rd party app, but obviously not with BB Hub+ at the moment.

Because your device is totally different from an app. BBhub+ isn't compatible with two step authentication. You need to follow the steps either creating password directly down below Security dashboard or by clicking two step authentication. The first one which is the first screenshot is the easiest because you can just push and refresh for a new one depending of how many devices or apos you have.

I do not believe I am doing anything wrong. I have 2 Hotmail accounts, one uses two-step authentication, the other does not; I also have a Gmail account. All accounts are set up on Hub+ on my TabS5e and S24 Ultra, both Hotmail accounts regularly throw up the password change notification, on both devices the Gmail never does. (obviously the Outlook app works fine on both as well).

As a fault finding exercise, I have also set up one Hotmail account using the Samsung email app on my S24U; when adding a new email to the Samsung app, it gives you the option of selecting the service, when I select Hotmail/outlook, it takes me to a Microsoft page requesting my password (this is the account without two-step authentication), I put in my password and that's it; I have had no issues from the Samsung app about password or authentication issues. I can also link the Samsung calendar app to the account and get my calendar info.

If the Samsung app can manage to successfully synch with my Hotmail account, why cannot Blackberry sort Hub+ out?

With BB devices I worked it out on 5 different devices I have in my dusty door BlackBerry Passport, BlackBerry Classic, the android devices BlackBerry KeyOne, BlackBerry Motion and BlackBerry Key2. I did it as well with Unihertz Titan. The best and quicker was IMAP even though ActiveSync worked well on the BlackBerry Android devices. In BB android devices it saves calendars, etc but in other non BlackBerry Androids If you erased the account and reinstalled it you definitely lost your calendars. There is only one way to save the calendars, etc and that is to save it in your Google drive and then restore it back and the other one is extreme which is by factory resetting the device. Hotmail accounts are the accounts that once in a while logs you out in the BlackBerry 10 OS devices but it has been more stable lately until Microsoft performs extra Tweaks. Until today all devices are plugged in on WiFi and testing for how long it keeps you log in. Also, I spoke with a friend technician who used to work at RIM in Waterloo, Ontario and he stated that BlackBerry technology is wide open to any changes/updates from Microsoft, Google or Amazon (AWS). Amazon has the same problem with outlook accounts and they were the first ones solving this with the IMAP and POP3 they work with. So to the people stating that BlackBerry has to do more with BB Hub+ App, they did their last upgrade right after Microsoft announced the change/upgrade and as you know at the end was Microsoft who solved the problem with each App and device.
