BlackBerry android devices or any Google device can't connect to outlook server

Hello, I have changed my password with outlook and after I tried to updated with BlackBerry hub services either on my android device or Pixel 8 can't authenticate or connect to server errors persists. Microsoft Azure certificate comes faulty as well and I need a solution for it because it looks like nobody in this office using BlackBerry hub app in pixel 8 and even BlackBerry key2 can't connect to outlook. After uninstall and reinstall does the same "can't connect to server" or "can't authenticate" error not on exchange server, imap or pop. I tried everything and Microsoft seems not to answer questions about it.

I opened another ticket with Blackberry support and the response was:

'We are working hard on Modern Auth support for Outlook.com email and will provide an update as soon as a version is provided with the update.'

    So, perhaps there is hope.

The most bizarre thing is that I have another phone Samsung Galaxy A8 with Android 9 and MS Exchange ActiveSync account is working on that phone perfectly. Syncing addresses, contacts and calendar with PC-s and Office servers.

    Account details are:

    E-mail address: ***@outlook.com

Password: my microsoft account password (no app password)

    Domain\username: ******@outlook.com

    Exchange server: eas.outlook.com

    Port: 445

    SSL/TLS (accept all sertificates)

But as soon as I try to create the account on other phones (Blackberry Key2 Android 8.1 and Sony I V Android 14), I am getting error "Can't connect to server" or "Check your account settings and try again or switch to modernauthentication".

When I switch that modernauthentication on I am getting error "Can't connect to server".

When I try to create the account manually, I am getting message at the end of process: "Your account (xxx) can't be authenticated. Update your account settings and try again."

I tried both normal account password and microsoft app password.

    I tried servers eas.outlook.com, outlook.office365.com, m.outlook.com

I tried domain/password with and without pre ""

    I tried port numbers 443 and 993

I have the same problem. Everything was working fine (for years) with the Blackberry hub on my android phone until yesterday morning, when I too started getting authentication issues. I removed the account, and was able to manually configure account as IMAP, but it only syncs my email. I really prefer to use MS Exchange ActiveSync so that email, calendar and contacts are all sync'd. This is a personal account, and all my details are fine (and have not been changes) since I can connect from laptop on the client and through the web.

I know Microsoft is making changes to outlook because I keep getting asked to "try the New outlook". I am happy with the old outlook and and my BB Hub on my phone - when it works.

    Please resolve soon.

I have been following along this thread, and just realized that not only my contacts and calendar are not syncing, but also my notes. Which is a big problem because they don't appear in the outlook app, nor in my desktop client outlook. Obviously, if I had it in a note on my phone, it was something I wanted to keep but not have to remember - big problem now that they are gone.

Still getting the odd authentication error, but getting my email, still no calendar or contacts.

Hi, has your problem been resolved? I tried all means but nothing worked... I had to delete the outlook email account on BB Hub in attempt to reset and thus, no more outlook account on BB Hub due to this authentication failure...

I'm also a blackberry hub subscriber and I have this problem with both of the android phones that are running blackberry hub and outlook, as of today (January 24 2024).
