My contacts are gone. I upgraded to the "new" outlook a couple months ago and now realize I have no contacts. I tried looking for a CVS file but I found none. I tried reverting back to Outlook 2019 but still no contacts. Please note, I upgraded from Windows Mail. I never used Outlook 2019.

Sorry to hear! Don't waste your time waiting for Microsoft to fix or answer. I'm afraid all you'll receive is rhetoric and/or crickets

Why does Microsoft continue to make changes to apps customers have become comfortable with without consulting the customers about what changes they would like to see? Alsos, why is there little, if any, advance notice of planned changes that will impact customers?

I recently had to make an emergency replacement of my Dell laptop running Windows 10 and Microsoft 365. The new computer was purchased on my behalf through Best Buy and the agent informed Best Buy of my Total membership contract to get the 24-month extended warranty and of my Microsoft 365 membership. It's not clear if that membership transferred to my new computer. I do know that I ended up with the old Outlook and New Outlook and cannot find my contacts. We have our own domain and use Verio to route our emails to us.

The professional who purchased and set up my new laptop kept Outlook and installed New Outlook on my computer. If my contacts remain with the old Outlook, can I make that the default? Or, have my contacts now been completely lost? If so, this IMHO is not good customer service. I feel dismissed when a company whose products I've used for decades doesn't consider how impactful its changes are customers. The changes you are planning in the near future seem intended to eliminate competitive options to customers. We're just stuck with what you push out to us?

I went back to the old Mail, wrote out my Contacts on a piece of paper, switched to OutlookMail and entered them as New Contacts. A total pain.

What does: "you need to go back to it to get the contacts" mean? I can't use the new app?

It's the standalone application you need to install, Outlook 365. I have a subscription to M365 and Outlook is included. I don't know if you have to purchase a license.

    Hope that helps.
