My contacts are gone. I upgraded to the "new" outlook a couple months ago and now realize I have no contacts. I tried looking for a CVS file but I found none. I tried reverting back to Outlook 2019 but still no contacts. Please note, I upgraded from Windows Mail. I never used Outlook 2019.

BINGO!!!!!!!
I logged into my microsoft account and downloaded office 365 again from my purchase history and was able to get my contacts and have the old outlook running again. I have not tried going back to the new one and importing yet.
You should have the option to revert to Windows Mail with a switch top right that you used to get Outlook. If that did not work there is an alternative route elsewhere in this thread. Once you are back, I had no other option than writing them out by hand, switching to Outlook and entering them as new contacts. None of the other suggested options were either available or worked.
Your response did not tell me how to transfer my contacts to the new Outlook. My contacts fit the gmail, yahoo, Microsoft requirements. So????
Hi Diane,
This "new" Outlook really seems like a dumbed down version that was designed for a 3 year old. Why have we gone backwards so much?
Specifically, the toolbar at the top is so reduced to nothing that I really can't find any of the settings I want.
Do you expect to have a much more full version of this new Outlook in the future? Or is this just "it"?
thanks,
Matt
