'New Outlook' - how to save sent emails in a different folder instead of Sent folder

I have multiple subfolders for each of my projects. When I'm sending an email in my previous outlook, I was able to assign my email to a different subfolder than 'Sent Items' before I sent the email. I now don't see that as an option. How can I do this in the new Outlook?

    I've been going to the sent folder and moving it there. It's one of the options after the email is sent. I have even Bcc'd myself so that I don't have to go to the sent folder.

    Anyone know anything about sending emails to OneNote in this new Outlook? Can't seem to find that action either.

    The lack of being able to save an email to a folder when it is sent has added complexity and work to email management. This old feature was very useful when working with projects, where the subject and sender/recipient would change.

    Unfortunately, human decision making cannot be always be 'ruled', there is always an element of subjectivity that needs to be considered.

    Hey Marc,

    Thanks for this information, but like Tracy, I am also unable to locate the Customize Ribbon and am using the desktop version. I'll keep clicking around to see what I can find.

    Thank you Mark for adding a possible help, however, it did not work for me. Per your instructions, I opened a new email, however, when I right click into the ribbon, I don't receive any options to select, including "Customize the Ribbon".

    Tracy - Try going through the menu:

    • File, Options (bottom left), Customize Ribbon

    Your window looks a bit different than mine. Not sure what version I'm using or where to find that information. I'm able to switch between Simplified Ribbon and Classic Ribbon. Looks like that has gone away in the "New and Improved" version.
