'New Outlook' - how to save sent emails in a different folder instead of Sent folder

Agree - I will not be able to use the new outlook until save to sent emails is added

In the new Outlook, the ability to assign sent emails to specific subfolders before sending them isn't a built-in feature. However, you can try using rules to move sent emails to the desired subfolders automatically after sending.

Click on the gear icon in the top right corner to open the settings menu, then click on View all Outlook settings at the bottom of the panel.

In the settings menu, navigate to the "Mail" tab and then select Rules under the "Mail" section.

Click on Add new rule.

In the Add a new rule window, you can specify the condition for the rule. For example, you may choose "Apply to all messages" to apply the rule to all sent emails.

After specifying the condition, select Move to as the action.

Click on Select folder to choose the subfolder you want to move the sent messages to, then click OK.

Finally, click Save to create the rule.

Agreed!! There are several things that the ‘New Outlook’ doesn’t do that make my organization skills more difficult. It makes zero sense.

I’m sure the argument they would give is that it’s still under construction. Lol

Thank you @Marc Howell2. However, this didn't work for me. I'm not sure how you are getting to the Customize window you have above. The new outlook doesn't have this menu (at least i couldn't find it). This looks like the "old" menu.

When I select ... from the new ribbon (and note that it has to be in Simplified View to even see the ...), I get this:

If I choose customize I see this:

And now in addition to not being happy about Sent Items only being saved in the Sent Items folder, I'm SUPER unhappy about the limited customizations we can to on the toolbar. ARGH!!!!!!

I was trying out the new outlook but rolling back as well.

Pushing it to specific folders, is a simple way to organize work and communications.
