'New Outlook' - how to save sent emails in a different folder instead of Sent folder

cannot belive this reduction to a minimum of functionality. Also have to migrate back to classic Outlook. The lack of such important functionality is inacceptable

I have the same issue as I use the "Save sent item to..." function a lot. Rolling back to previous Outlook version as this is a must have for me.

Thank you for your comment. I posted this a long time ago, and many other users have provided similar comments, but Microsoft has taken no action to implement this change. The “New” Outlook is missing so many key features, among them is this one - the ability to file a sent Email to a folder directly.

WAKE UP MICROSOFT!

Until Microsoft fixes this, a workaround is to keep BOTH Outlook and Outlook (new) running on your PC. Use the old one when sending Emails, which allows the option of "Save Sent Item to...", and the new one for everything else.

The new Outlook did solve some calendaring and synchronization issues for me, as it has iCloud & Gmail support built in. The old outlook required the "iCloud for Windows" add-in, and it was problematic at best.

Let's go, Microsoft - get this "New" Outlook up-to-speed!!

I have multiple subfolders for each of my projects. When I'm sending an email in my previous outlook, I was able to assign my email to a different subfolder than 'Sent Items' before I sent the email. I now don't see that as an option. How can I do this in the new Outlook?

The lack of being able to save an email to a folder when it is sent has added complexity and work to email management. This old feature was very useful when working with projects, where the subject and sender/recipient would change.

Unfortunately, human decision making cannot be always be 'ruled', there is always an element of subjectivity that needs to be considered.
