I am getting Emails From "Temu." and I Have No Idea What They Are

I am familiar with Temu, although I don't use it, have never made an account, signed up, or interacted with it in any way whatsoever

this started today, where I keep getting emails in my Inbox from a sender called "Temu." (I've not opened any of the emails to look at the other email to see if it's legit or not). I've gotten 3 in total, which I've all deleted

the first 2 had a description: "You have won an Temu pallets". first came in at 11am, second came in at 3pm

the most recent one either came in at 6pm or 7pm, I forgot to make note, but it had a description along the lines of: "RE: confirm your receipt"

I have blocked the sender every single time on each of these emails but it hasn't made a difference. if the third email came in at 7pm, then if I'm not mistaken that's 4 hours apart between each email

is anyone else receiving these or...why do I keep getting these? is it more likely that it's a spam email if I've blocked the sender and it keeps working around it? it keeps coming to my Inbox, not Spam

Okay so after figuring out how to get the chat support up this is the instructions I was given. I guess we'll find out in 24hrs if it works and seems they are aware of the issue and hopefully really are working on it.

Here is the instructions copied and pasted from chat with support :

"I will be helping you with some sort of steps to follow to reduce the spam in your account and Karla, I have checked with my team and Tier-2 department. They have filed the bug regarding your issue, as the issue is emerging also with other users. Please be rest assured that our Engineering team is working on it and your issue will be resolved soon.

I would request you to please click on the below link: https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/mail/junkEmail

    >> then scroll down and click on the last option Filters and then select both the filters and then click on save and then again deselect those filters and then click on save and then lout from your account and login again to your account, as this will refresh your Spam/junk filters in your account which will help you to get rid from these spam mails in your account."

Was advised to do this 3-4 more times over the next 24 hours and if it did not work to raise a ticket with them again. Fingers crossed because this is beyond a joke. I've already signed up for a gmail account incase I cant get this to stop.

I think Microsoft should deal with this. I;ve had 9 messages by 4pm. MS is happy to charge you for everything, so it really should earn it the subscription! Isn't that what their subscription business model should do, or is it just a money-mining scam!

So I reported every one - that’s every one - to ******@phishing.gov.uk, and I sent another message on this list to MS to get their act together and complained to MS on some other support line, and then yesterday they just stopped!

So I don’t know what worked best, but don’t give up!

Complain like mad to MS - they don’t like bad PR cos they’ll lose money, and we all know how much they want to earn!!!

    Good luck!

I'm actually sick and tired of constantly having to delete junk mail from Outlook. You've clearly accepted some sort of money from all these spam companies because every day I can get up 60 spam mails. I've blocked, sent to junk, nothing. Outlook never used to be this bad with spam emails. These kind of things can cause a person anxiety. Sort it out, seriously.

Surprisingly, I haven't had any more of these TEMU bs email's going into my inbox. I checked my junk box and they seemed to be going to my junk mail. Whatever it is that I've done in the filters seems to be working.

Thank you all for your replies and suggestions. Amazingly, I've woken up this morning and I have zero emails from Temu. Maybe hitting the unsubscribe link actually worked? Or, maybe they are playing with my mind and this is just a brief reprieve 🤣. Hopefully problem solved.
