I cannot spellcheck in the new outlook 20231215008.08 . The editor is greyed out in the edit options. I have edge as my default browser and the MS editor ext in edge. Keep in mind I am talking about the New Outlook APP, but I am unsure if it feeds off od edge settings for the app.

Bingo! Thank you for the help on this issue it worked for me on the New Outlook for the Web and activated the Editor and therefore the spellcheck, etc. The responses from Microsoft did not include this remedy.

    In new Outlook.

Navigate to Settings > General > Privacy and Data > Privacy Settings.

Enable Turn on experiences that analyze your content.

This fixed it for me. No idea how that setting got changed or if its new or something.

Confirmed, this enables access to the editor settings as well as fixes new outlook app being able to fix spelling errors. While this was disabled, I could see misspelled words in new outlook, but did not have any context menu to actually fix them.
